Image
Skitbox is not a brand... but an Australian female comedy group! You undoubtedly noticed the rise and success of athleisure = sportswear to wear everyday any time whatever the occasion as depicted in the video below. This video gives a great twisted and humorous perspective on the boom of this fashion trend. I thought it'd be nice to share! Check out more from Skitbox here. ~Mayta

LAMB x BURTON Part II

Image
Back in 2013... two of my favorite brands got together, joined forces, mixed their  secret ingredients to come up with the first L.A.M.B . x BURTON collab. Two years later, these great creative minds are getting back together to treat us once again to the sickest outerwear and winter coats... But the torture!! We have to wait until this fall ladies to get the goods! To be the first to know about its availability fill up Burton's email form  or follow them on twitter @LAM Bfashion and @burtonsnowboard. L.A.M.B., which stands for Love Angel Music Baby is Gwen Stefani's fashion line. Born like 10 years ago, I remember rocking their first sneakers. Not only do I admire Gwen since he career debuts as No Doubt's lead singer... but she always rocked a unique style of her own that, lucky us, she makes available through L.A.M.B. It is just so sad to learn that the amazing couple Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are in the process of divorcing. It looks like, for the sake of th...

Staying in shape this summer, ready for winter!

Image
Working out in the 80s must have been so much fun! Spandex, leotards, leg warmers and waist belts... Do you recognise Heather Locklear above? Well... I vote for Kate Hudson as 2010's icon of what is now coined as athleisure in this blog post! Check out Fabletics , the brand she co-founded and that offers a range of incredibly functional AND stylish gym wear for all types of work outs or to wear on a daily basis--they are so comfy.  Here is Kate rocking her pick of Fabletics outfits.  Below, two of her favorites: On the left the Riviera outfit the Taylor Tank II and the Salar Capri in black. And on the right, the Bermuda Tunes outfit with the SoleTank and Salar Crop in black. The neatest thing about Fabletics is their variety of prints on incredibly comfy designs. You know how sometimes you find a pair of pants or a bra that fits so wonderfully you want to order the same model in every color you like? Well with Fabletics the choices in prints...

Another Collab!! Tommy Hilfiger x Keith Haring

Image
Gosh, I am totally loving these collabs between preppy brands and brilliant artists!! One of my favs, Keith Haring--who has been part of the street art movement since the early days of graffiti and making art "public and accessible," for all to enjoy by using the streets as galleries--has teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger to launch a limited edition footwear capsule collection. The result is a small collection named Footwear in limited edition, composed of sneakers and rain boots for men, women and kids, in a worldwide preview at colette. Sick pic of Haring working on the Berlin wall (above). And sweet rain boots to walk through slushy snow ;) To shop online: visit the dedicate website. Gosh, I am going to need a new closet... This launch could take place nowhere other than our Colette store in Paris. Here's the word from their newsletter: " Keith Haring , both artist and activist, has a habit of using his art to serve important social causes, supporting research and c...

Kershnar x Volcom

Image
I love summer, don't get me wrong... but seeing stores changing their offerings to fall 2009 lines just brings excitement for winter! Ok, I may be getting a little ahead of myself. But from a fashion side of things, I just love being able to layer up. Fall and winter styles are my favs. Volcom has revealed its fall 2009 line up and as you can see, the 80's and punk rock looks will endure through this winter. I just love collaboration between artists and fashionware designers. Volcom featured artist series is just that. Here is a sick hoodie featuring artwork from Mike Kershnar. The hoodies is actually also part of Volcom's V-Co.logical series. Here's a close up on the artwork. The tiger is one of Kershnar's fav animals. He used to track tigers in Nepal with his father! Now available in black or white on Volcom's website . Mike Kershnar's art can be displayed on your wall, worn on a t-shirt or plastered on your skate deck. I just love his statement of purp...
