Staying in shape this summer, ready for winter!

Working out in the 80s must have been so much fun! Spandex, leotards, leg warmers and waist belts... Do you recognise Heather Locklear above? Well... I vote for Kate Hudson as 2010's icon of what is now coined as athleisure in this blog post! Check out Fabletics , the brand she co-founded and that offers a range of incredibly functional AND stylish gym wear for all types of work outs or to wear on a daily basis--they are so comfy.  Here is Kate rocking her pick of Fabletics outfits.  Below, two of her favorites: On the left the Riviera outfit the Taylor Tank II and the Salar Capri in black. And on the right, the Bermuda Tunes outfit with the SoleTank and Salar Crop in black. The neatest thing about Fabletics is their variety of prints on incredibly comfy designs. You know how sometimes you find a pair of pants or a bra that fits so wonderfully you want to order the same model in every color you like? Well with Fabletics the choices in prints are numer

Fat Hats!

Summer or winter, we always rock hats! Here is a selection of funky print hats form High Rise, Dirty Razkal, Love is Earth and People's Republic of Clothing. I chose two hats from The High Rise Co . Check out the OG Red Bar 5 Panel Camper (ouch, long name for a hat!). We love the floral detail and the leather pull back strap, which you can't see in this pic unfortunately. Up next from The High Rise Co... more flowers! Lovely! The Leather Bar Floral Camper. We love: the floral print! Both models selected for your eyes only feature an embroidered Patch and the leather pull back strap. Oh and you get free stickers with your hat! We like. Now... Dirty Razkal ! Such a fun brand! I love what they did here with this model for Little Razkals: the Polka Propeller FlipPeak hat in Peach or Navy. We love: like everything! The pocodots, the oh So Dirty Flip Peak brim, and obviously... the Propeller blades so old school, love it. Up next, Love Is Earth . It was hard to choose

Ethnic prints Backpacks & Bags

Summer is just around the corner. It is time to store away all that black, brown and gray coloured wardrobe and to bring out some fun colours! This is what I like about ethnic prints. They usually are full of flashy colours and convey the feeling of traveling around the world. Here is a selection from Roxy, Burton and Volcom. Let's start with Volcom. The Jamon Jamon Backpack, currently on sale as we speak! We like: the  creative design with the opening at the top. Easy to open/close and throw our beach or gym wear in it! The same really cool flashy print is available on Volcom's Tote. Today, all ladies have a tote bag in their collection. This one is great to stand out from the crowd this summer! A last one for Volcom: the Supply Backpack and it is also currently on sale as we speak! We like: it's classic design and the brown leather details.  Now let's see what exotic prints Roxy has for us this summer! The Shadow Swell bag in "Acapulco Dots"! We

Winter Blues?

When I moved away from my ski resort Okemo in Vermont, USA, to Paris, France, end of 2009, I had to face so many emotions: the sadness of leaving my mountain loving friends, my group of riding chicas, the mountain, the snow and ski slopes just outside my window, trees, nature... and talking snow and gear 24/7. I left all that to end up in a noisy, polluted, stressful and snowless city miles away from any mountain or beach for riding snow or surf... This is how I lived my "reverse culture shock" at first. But I soon learned to appreciate Paris for its unique street fashion and sports cultures, I finally got to get more involved in rock climbing, yoga and salsa dancing! And did not give up on my first love: snowboarding. After all, we have the French Alps! I moved to the city of Lyon, only 2-3 hours away form the most amazing mountains I ever dreamed to ride. Even though I no longer get my 50+ days of riding in, I still feel spoiled because I get to snowboard, surf, climb,
